“Gen 6:8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of Jehovah.
Gen 6:9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, and perfect in his generations: Noah walked with God”.

Why did Noah find favour with God? What distinguished him from the other men, who God was planning to destroy?
The answers can be found in Gen 6:9…
Finding favour with God requires;
- being righteous
- being blameless
- following God’s will consistently
- enjoying a close relationship with God
Now, the questions I have for us (me and you) are; have we been righteous? blameless? following God’s will consistently? and enjoying a close relationship with Him?
I definitely need/want God’s favour upon my life…but I also know I have a lot to do; a lot of listening, trusting, following, and doing…what do you have to do?

This must be one of the ultimate prayers ever. To have God’s favour upon one’s life is it.
We are flesh, so we still need God to direct us on this journey.
I pray that as you have posted this entry, God Almighty will grant you your heart’s desires in the mighty name of Jesus.
taKia and God bless
Who does not want favour? I only pray that I can do what it takes to find favour with Him though I know I am righteous because of Jesus.
D Bible describes God’s Favour as Gods’ good face. All our righteousness is like a filty rag, it is not of him that willeth or runneth but it is of him who showeth mercy.
Favour is God stepping in when all hope is lost. God surprising you when life has disappointed you.
Favour is what makes our labour to yield profit. Its not about our efforts or righteousness, even though we r made righteous in Christ. it is priviledge we usually dont deserve. We must make concious effort to seek God and have a relationship with him so that we enjoy his favour some of which doyin has already mentioned.
May God grant us favour in our aspirations.
@ Babajide; I say a big AMEN! to that…thank you…
@ Rita; Amen, you will, by His grace…
@ Teegirl; Preach it preacher! and Amen, as well…
Thanks all, and Amen to the prayers…
Beautifully spot-on. No comment, complete in itself. God’s favour (is certainly) better than silver and gold.
….reflecting.
“I definitely need/want God’s favour upon my life…but I also know I have a lot to do; a lot of listening, trusting, following, and doing”
I have a lot of listening & following to do.
hope you are good?
Blameless; similar to being a just man like Job and Moses and some other people. Righteous in the past had been a broad word for me and I always wanted to break it down to the least possibly understood language so I can know how to carry out these things. The truth is that we cant be able to achieve all these with our physical might, only by the grace of GOD.
Another place I like in the story of Noah is where it said “and God remembered Noah in the ark”….May GOD remember me, you, and everyone reading this today in Jesus name, amen
This is good
…trust and obey…
@ Rethots; thank you…
@ O’dee; I’m great, thanks…
@ Naijagirl; thanks for the insight…n Amen!
@ Deola; thanks…
@ Sheyeh; I will…
wow.. God’s favor is all we need…. Certainly resolves a lot of the water we tread whilst trying to hack it in life!
Tell me about favour
I have to disagree with you slightly – I don’t think we can do anything to earn God’s favour. He will show mercy, grace and favour to whom He chooses.
I’ve known what it is to enjoy favour from God and it’s what get’s you through difficult situation, makes a way for you, attracts blessings. I’m so glad to be a favoured girl!
@ Bagucci; yes, indeed it is…
@ FG; I know, right?
I’d still disagree slightly as well…the Bible says He’d show MERCY on whom He will… favour and grace however, I believe, we all need to play our part to partake of…Rev Sam of Daystar, in his ministration yesterday, mentioned some ways by which we can obtain God’s grace; prayer, being mentored by a man of God, giving to/sowing a seed into the life of great people of God, etc…
I need God’s favor in my life and know that I can be righteous only by his grace and help. This attempt at being a better Christian is not easy oooo…sometimes I just sit and wonder why the road to hell is sooo wide because everything that seems ‘fun’ isn’t of God. But God dey! and I trust him to hold my hand in this walk of faith.
Original M; I understand, it’s not easy to live a Godly/christian life…but as u trust Him, He WILL hold ur hand all d way…
cheers

Can we really be better Christians?… If you allow me, I will use an example/illustration of an eaglet that was raised with chickens and behaved like chickens, whenever other birds come around, they will all run away out of fear. The eaglet started growing and one day while taking water, it realised that it looked like the eagle that the chickens run away from, it tried to fly but kept falling down, it kept trying and soon enough it could fly high, soar like the other eagles and left being a chicken eagle.
Our flesh does not enjoy pleasing God only our inner person(spirit) does. what it takes to BE a Christian is already inside us at new birth, we only need to KNOW and acknowledge it and like the eagle, as we try and try with His help, we suddenly realise that it can be easy…my yoke is easy and my burden is light…
hmmm Sheyeh thx for elucidating…
