- I’ve grumbled about not having a paid job for so long, forgetting to thank you for the opportunities that you’ve opened up for me during this period, to make a difference, and to touch lives positively…
- I’ve complained about not having MY OWN money to spend, neglecting to thank you for the wonderful man by my side, who insists that HIS money IS MINE too, and for giving him a wonderful job, with a wonderful boss, and wonderful opportunities…
- I’ve whined about how my Masters degree and Chartered qualification seem to be hindering me from getting a job, as some recruiters have tagged me as “overqualified” (Read this post HERE), overlooking the possibility that if I’m being turned down for lower level positions, it can only mean that You have bigger and better things in stock for me…
- I’ve murmured severally about not having any tangible creative skills or talents, not rembering that You have poured so much into me, and that all I need to do is simply look inwards, and draw out the “gold” that You have deposited in me…
- I’ve complained about not HAVING, whereas, it’s really that I have not been DOING…and that it has been during this period of my not having, that You have showed up most and taken care of my EVERY need…it’s been during this time that You have increased us materially/financially, in the most unexpected and miraculous of ways…
Here’s Your baby Dee checking in Lord, to say thank you, for EVERYTHING (including the seemingly normal things like going to toilet, or getting up in the morning)…
I’m saying thank You Lord
…for life, excellent health, and soundness of mind…
…for being able to eat whatever we want, whenever we want…
…for our new, beautiful home…
…for ALL of our loved ones; family, friends, and neighbours…
…for our wonderful Church, Pastor, and Church friends…
…for daily inspiration/motivation/encouragement; Your WORD…
…for a renewed and strengthened walk with You…
…for You ALWAYS being there, and being God…
…for the opportunity to say I’m sorry…
Now and Henceforth, I’m Grateful!

I like this post because times in our life, everything can seem like nothing is happening…God is saying, you are on the right track, Masters or no masters,,,the right job would open for you. I love thankful post and recognition is the first step to God’s promises. Keep being grateful, everything is working out for good.

Word!! If only we can change our viewpoint from the negatives to the positives, we would praise Him more. How come all the messages I have heard in the past few days and weeks have centred on praise?? God is sure saying something. Thanks baby Dee for sharing this.
this is so true. we have so many good things going on in our lives but we focus on what’s going wrong or not going our way and feel discouraged. we must keep being grateful to God in all things because he is working behind the scenes!

HHHmm Good to be back again. U always hit the nail rite on the head. As u said in a previous post Gratitude is a seed we must consciously sow. Reading the post I had tears fill my eyes, how easily we place tags on the things we dont hv and forgt the fact that nt everybody slept and saw this morning. I had a friend in a good paying job but still struggling to gt wot i hv meanwhile I hv nt considered myself having anything out of the ordinary and just recently as she prepared to go out she was hit by her boyfriend and she slumped and that was the end of the story. Wot is it dat we have dat that we were not given. U do nt hv a job yet u r nt leaving on the streets, u eat wot u want to eat and go wer u want to go. Does that nt tell u abt Gods provision. I pray the Grace of God to place us on an Altitude of Gratitude.
Forgive me Lord for the many times i hv murmured of my lacks and nt hving my desires. I thank you for all you hv done for me and my family and even that which u hv promised to do. Forever O Lord ur word is settled in heaven and will be established on earth.
JustD remain blessed. May the Lord continue to prosper the works of your hands.
