But for the fact that I can see my last post date, it’s almost impossible for me to believe it’s been three months since I put up a post….3 months? waoh!

I won’t even attempt to come up with any reason(s) for abandoning the blog. All I want to do is apologise to all those who follow and/or read Anoda Phase – for abandoning my passion for writing and for allowing cobwebs to gather on here, but more so, for neglecting my responsibility to you all.

I also want to thank all those who kept checking on the blog/catching up on their reading/commenting on old(er) posts etc. It’ very humbling to know that I didn’t put up new posts for 3 months and my blog was still getting reasonable traffic. Thanks also to all who have liked and continue to like Anoda Phase on Facebook.

So, happy new year to you all (better late than never, right?) I trust that everyone is well.

It is my prayer that this year, you will align yourselves with the Lord’s plans for your lives, and experience genuine transformation, growth, increase, freedom, and favour unlimited.

As for me, I’m thankful for both seen and unseen blessings – on the last day of 2011, I got an unexpected blessing – actually, I did expect it – ok let me explain better;

Around October/November (I think) 2011, I heard something on the news and I proclaimed that I would be a beneficiary of that thing in Jesus’ name. I then completely forgot about it, and you can only imagine my initial confusion, surprise, disbelief, and then utter gratitude, when on December 31 2011, I received a letter – and a cheque – in the post.

Also, hubby and I are trusting God for a miracle which initially seemed veeeery far away, but is now inching ever so close, and we are thankful and trustful that it will come sooner than later, and we shall testify again.

I’m thankful for unseen/yet to be seen blessings – What are you thankful for?

Don’t forget, we have a TESTIMONY CORNER on this blog.

Do you sometimes feel trapped – backed up against the wall – by the challenges and problems of this world?

Have you ever felt hopeless, helpless, hapless, and just like the world was going to end?

Do you feel like the world is laughing in your face, scorning – ridiculing you?

Are you weak, in pain, scared, frustrated, and maybe even feeling defeated?

What is the solution – when will it all go away? You ask.

Do you retreat and then surrender?

Or do you get up and do something about the situation?

You can bounce back!

Those challenges/problems/difficulties are all bark and no bite.

So pick up courage and fight back.

But how? You ask. Where do I get the strength to fight back? I feel down and out.

The solution?

Yes. Praise!

Praise God like never before.

When you lift God up in praise, despite your situation, He’ll arise and send you help from above.

So go ahead…just praise Him, and be sure to return and share the results with us in the Testimony Corner.

feathers cake

Hi People

How’s everyone doing? I’ve missed you all, really.

Hubby and I went on a week’s holiday to the North of England (our very first time up  North) to see my sister and her fiancé. We went to Darlington precisely, but also  visited Bradford (where I got my hair done…it’s a lovely flowing, curly weave) and Newcastle

Anyway, back to the main matter…my younger sister is getting married. Yipee! lol…The Church wedding is here in the UK in March 2010, while the engagement ceremony (traditional marriage) is in Nigeria in December. Further details are available on their lovely wedding website. Check it out HERE.

By the way, this sister of mine has been witholding sharing the many wonderful things God has done in her life here, on our Testimony Corner…please help me beg her to come and share them oh…lol.

PS; did you guys notice the lovely “feathered cake” in the pic?

See u all later. No, sooner, not later.

Psa 51:1  Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Psa 51:2  Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.

References; Psa 51, Isa 54:7, Rom 9:15, Ex 33:19

Psa 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.
Psa 51:11  Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy spirit from me.
Psa 51:12  Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with a willing spirit.

Note; Only after verses 10-12 have taken place, can you teach others the word of God and bring sinners unto Him, as in verse 13 below…

Psa 51:13  Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; And sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Note; We ought to give God praise because, He is not interested in sacrifice or burnt offering, but ONLY in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart

Psa 51:15  O Lord, open thou my lips; And my mouth shall show forth thy praise.

Psa 51:16  For thou delightest not in sacrifice; Else would I give it: Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.
Psa 51:17  The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Dictionary.com defines broken, as; “weakened in strength or spirit, tamed, trained, or reduced to submission”

and contrite as; “penitent, repentant, apologetic, conscience-stricken, humble, remorseful”

Try replacing “broken and contrite” with these words, to gain a deeper understanding of Ps 51:17.

Note; It doesn’t matter how hard you try; it doesn’t depend on how much you’ve done; God simply chooses to have mercy on you…

Rom 9:15  For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. (see also Ex 33:19)
Rom 9:16  So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Note; Even when it seems like God has abandoned or forsaken you, it is only for a brief moment, for He will again bring you back to Himself, with great mercy and deep compassion, for He says in Isa 54:7; “For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee”.

God does not stay angry for long either…He has long forgiven you, so stop beating yourself down over that sin committed long ago…Mic 7:18 says;

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

Finally, ask yourself this one question; Am I merciful? For Mat 5:7 says; “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy”…

Have a blessed week.

PS; I started a Testimony Corner…please check it out…
